Only an hour left in Haley's 10th birthday.
It's been a good day, she probably had the best year ever gift wise, which is awesome because I could never really do that for her before, #1 on the gift list was a kitten and #2 was the wii, at least that's my analysis from watching her
. Plus we still have the skating party next weekend. I haven't gotten many rsvp's I really hope we get some soon, as I'd really like for family and friends to show up. If not hopefully by then I'll be healed from playing basketball and ready to roller blade with her. hehe
My baby is 10... wild isn't it?
To give an idea... when I started this journal it was the day before she started kindergarten. I was a very tearful clingy mommy back then, she's always been the independant type though.
She was only 5 then! Next month it'll be 5 years since I've been here. Time is going by so fast.

Basketball hurts these days... I had a lot of fun but my body hurts in places that I don't want it to hurt. heh Hmm not that I want it to hurt anywhere at all!
This weekend was so busy, with 4th of July and I seriously have no recollection of Saturday but today was busy, we went to a church thing at the park which was a lot of fun, got to sing worship songs at the park with my boss' church and listen to her pastor talk about something very fitting for both my boss and I and how much we both work. When I found my boss after the service this morning I was walking with Haley looking for her and I said "I just don't know how we're going to find her." I looked up and there she was in front of me! It was so cool, she cried when she saw me and gave me a hug, she was so happy to see us there and when mom showed up later she cried again! Isn't that just the sweetest thing?
It was a wonderful day, we went and played basketball tonight for a while and that was a lot of fun, good news is I'm still really bad at it... in case anyone thought otherwise. Mom made ribs for dinner, they were delicious and I think that's all I got. I'll share pictures later I think when I'm not so sore, I'm going to bed now! Can't believe it's already 11:30!
Oh one last thing... in half an hour it will officially be July 7th... and Haley will officially be 10 years old. Time sure does fly. I remember so many moments as if they were yesterday. I am so very thankful that I have her.

This song has been stuck in my head all day and night!
"Daughters" by John Mayer
I know a girl
She puts the color inside of my world
But she's just like a maze
Where all of the walls all continually change
And I've done all I can
To stand on her steps with my heart in my hands
Now I'm starting to see
Maybe it's got nothing to do with me
Fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too
Oh, you see that skin?
It's the same she's been standing in
Since the day she saw him walking away
Now she's left
Cleaning up the mess he made
So fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too
Boys, you can break
You'll find out how much they can take
Boys will be strong
And boys soldier on
But boys would be gone without the warmth from
A womans good, good heart
On behalf of every man
Looking out for every girl
You are the god and the weight of her world
So fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too

What is your favorite movie quote?
From the Bucket List:
Here's something to remember when you're older Thomas - never pass up a
bathroom, never waste a hard-on, and never trust a fart.I just answered this Featured Question, you can answer it too!
It just makes me laugh out loud.
